Demo against battery farming - Tesco

Where: Tesco Extra, Portman Road, Reading. RG30 1AH
Date: Sat 5th Jul 2008 @ 10:30 until 13:00 ( past event )

This was a highly successful and fun demo, fantastically coordinated by Elouise. About 25 people attended and pages and pages of petitions were signed asking Tesco to stop selling battery eggs. Stephen made en excellent and very approachable chicken, getting many waves, thumbs up and hooting of horns in response, as did the protest banners. There was clearly overwhelming public support for stopping battery farming.
