Eatin' in Eton
The walk will start promptly on Eton Bridge at 12.30pm (although we will meet in Watermans Inn before) and we can take a stroll along the river, feed the ducks and swans and watch the strange folk indigenous to Windsor/Eton. My mobile no. is 07958 531049 if you are running late.
There is a solid path by the river right back to Maidenhead, (but it’s unlikely we’ll get that far!) so sturdy walking boots aren’t essential and those with pushchairs and double-buggies should have no problems at all. Also, if the heavens open up – a brolly might be a good idea!
There are plenty of car parks around – but I must warn you that they are gonna be about £1.00 per hour. Windsor is slightly more! I would suggest Meadow Lane Car Park in Eton.
The food will be served at 2.00pm and I have been told by Andrew (Chef) that the food will be fabulous (and vegan, of course) and he is thrilled by at least one of the puddings that he’ll be serving up. The max cost per head will be £15.00, (not bad for 3-courses) but I can’t say exactly until he does the shopping!
There are still a couple of places available if anyone would like to join us. Please let me know if you would like to come to the walk, the food or both. Bookings for this event will close on Friday.
If in doubt - give me a shout.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
