Misugo - Windsor
Japanese omnivore restaurant
Here are few comments from one for our reporters:
Tofu was not so good (soft style), Inari and Californian rolls were not much different to mine, but I learned that avocado is a fantastic filling, reminded me that I must learn to do reverse rolls, tempura was okay, but a bit greasy, the carved vegetables were works of art and just amazing. Pumpkin Croquettes, Vegetable dumplings, Fresh Edamame beans in the pod with spicy sauce were all very memorable.
Feedback from other visitors indicates you need to be very clear about your dietary requirements as language can be a barrier to understanding.

Bruce 2007-11-27 10:37:25I loved it.
We had a Japanese neighbors a while ago and I learned to cook a bit of Japanese food myself so knew a bit about what to expect.
It was all very good, indeed I learned even more from my visit.
The skill in vegetable carving alone is amazing. And we destroyed these works of art by eating them.
Communication was a bit of a problem, I think they understood fine what is vegetarian and the menu is labels.
It was a bit warm and I asked if they could turn down the heat and make it a bit cooler only to have a glass of coke delivered.
Cooler – cola… it is understandable.
Steve Liversidge 2006-11-17 11:56:32Be careful – they think fish is a vegetable.
(EDITOR – I will write to them.)
sunil 2005-10-26 21:11:18Misugo is probably one of the best sushi restaurants I've come accross in a long while. It has a cosy atmosphere, great quality of service and above all the food is superb – a bit limited on the veggie side – but you have to try the veggie hand roll – its bursting with flavour. Close in quality to the Harrods sushi bar.
