Frozen party food galore!

Having a party? There are some excellent solutions locally that we've discovered - frozen vegan nibbles that you cook up quickly on the day. Read on ....

  • Veaty Bites - gently spiced posh looking fake chicken snacks found inSeeWoo
  • Cofresh's Peas Kachori - my favourite south indian snack, frozen and very good value in Tesco (£5 for 20), of all places, where they also have paratha and samosas you can cook from frozen. Deep fry for 10 mins or bake for 20.
  • Mini spring rolls - incredibly good value and great for kids and adults parties, also found at SeeWoo
  • Linda McCartney sausage rolls - as a rule we don't rate her products highly, but the sausage rolls are great and meat eaters can't tell the difference, so they are great at kids' and office parties. They are vegan too. Before baking, cut them up small for party size snacks. They are sometimes in the freezer at Holland and Barrett in Smelly Ally, though you know what they are like with stock control!
  • Fry's hot dogs are really popular with kids, vegan or not, and adults too. You can get them in Holland and Barrett too.
